![]() When it came to the menu I struggled to choose a starter as I really wanted the beef croquettes that were on a sharing platter. ![]() I did discreetly mention this to the lady. It was not cleared until after 3pm and by a new member of staff who maybe started her shift. staff walked past the table on numerous occasions. We arrived at 1pm and left at approx 3.30pm. I noticed that the larger table next to us was left uncleared obviously from breakfast as it was covered in pastry crumbs. We chose a “cosy” looking booth at the rear of the restaurant. I loved the simple elegance of the style of Daisy Tasker and we were lucky to choose where we wanted to sit. Sorry I was expecting much better after all the hype DT has been getting. Only good thing was a lovely Irish waitress. Even with the Itison voucher it was not value for money. At this stage I was getting really angry and embarrassed that I had brought our friends to DT. We then had a dispute over the Itison voucher which was right in front of the guy. We moved on to the main event which was just awful, 5 or sis pieces of virtually raw roast beef, over cooked chicken, half a burnt roast potato some veg and some massive incinerated Yorkshires "not edible". The starter arrived and turned out to be a tiny cup of soup and some little fish tasters and it arrived minus any side plates. The rest of us asked for the Stress free option. Not a good start! Eventually it was agreed that the vegetarian could have Fish and chips which turned out to be OK. We asked for the A la Carte menu as one of our party was a vegetarian and were advised that it was not available on a Sunday. We were offered a table but requested that we have a booth instead. I had visited DT to book our table for the 11th Nov and specifically asked if the al a carte menu along with the Stressless choice and was advised that it would be. It certainly was not that! We were a party of 4 using an Itison voucher which I handed over when we arrived. ![]() The menu offered a stress free Sunday Lunch. I had heard that DT was very good and on that basis I chose it for Sunday lunch with friends. I was looking forward to having a new choice of restaurant in Dundee to eat with friends.
